is $200 a reasonable price for a New Old Stock indicator shaft for an XC that was never fitted to a car?

They can charge any amount for NOS these days, check these out;

XB sedan rear quarters $1,250 each
XA-C coupe rear quarters $2,500 each

In other words, NOS isn't cheap. Simply put, I f I want I but it irrespective of the price!!!

I would rather $260 in my pocket , than a N.O.S XC Indicator Shaft anyday. You got a better deal not paying a ridiculous price . People should not encourage these pirates by paying such prices.

if you look long and hard enough you'll find a mint one somewhere, for like 20bucks. hell, i just dumped an xc that had real good switchgear etc. i just don't have the room for anymore spares.

Paid $80 for a mint second hand one a while ago, wasn't exactly happy about it but had no choice 'cause the car's a daily driver
The old one was arcing inside and threatening to burn my car to the ground, something had to be done!

I havent managed to find a decent one yet..been all over bloody adelaide to all the wreckers looking for decent switches, (idicator stalk and a driving light switch assembly) and have found shite. I did find a driving light switch assembly but some ignoramus had taken the plastic switch cover with "driving lights" written on it and left only the switch...

Is this the item that was on eBay last week?If so,it was advertised as a coupe indicator stalk.I didn't think there was a difference.Is there?

Yes , the differance is XC Coupe Indicator sounds better and faster from a sales point of view than sedan. Just like all the people on Ebay selling regular Falcon parts and adding GT or GS to them...Example there is/was a guy on there selling used regular XB sedan tailights and calling them GT Tailights , They are the same but he is clearly exploiting this to stooge someone. The same guy also has a regular XB Falcon grille painted black...and has titled it 'XB GT or GS grille'...It does'nt even have the driving light holes in it and never has. You can't just paint something black and call it 'GT or GS'...Buyer Beware.
