XP door springs and XP brake pedal

Hi people, how is everyone?
2 quick questions on the body of an XP falcon:

1) Does anyone know the specifications on the springs that go in the door hinges for an XP? I have just realised the reason my doors wont stay open is that the springs have snapped. Any fixes/work arounds on repairing this would be great.

2) This is a really painfull question, but Im new to old fords..
Do XP falcons have different brake pedals for the manual and the automatic? Is it a simple swap over to swap a manual pedal assembly to an Auto? on my HQ kingswood all I had to do was take out 1 bolt and the brakes and clutch came out, then I just bolted in the auto pedal. Is it like this for an XP too?
Anyone got an XP auto brake pedal assemly lying around they dont want? (Im converting my manual to an auto as I like autos more)

Wanted: 9in diff to suit my XP utility

Re: XP door springs and XP brake pedal

door springs. I have an XL. They should be the same. AM also heavily into mustang work, and mustang hinges have a kit available..about $25 per door. If i remember i will do a comparison for you...i may even tear one of my XL hinges down for rebuild (working on my OWN car...now that would be new)..that way i would know

Stangs and those early falcons share many obscure parts.

Brake pedal. They are the same as any car... narrow= manual wide= auto. haven't looked at mine, but earliest i have done is XB, the was simply a coil clip with the pedals sharing the same shaft....will take look and get back to you.
