429 block stamp
I have just bought an engine over the weekend and was checking it over and found the D1VE-XXX. I forget the other numbers. I know its a 71 block but in the back of the engine where there is usually a stamp of what the block is I have 101 with either a 10 or an 01 below it. The same goes for the front of the block as well. Can you help me out? The one head has cast # of D VE and the other has D3VE. Fromt eh research I have done the first is a replacement new head, and the other is a 73. I am assuming these are not the original heads for this engine.
