Question 429 build

I have a 1979 ford F250 w/ 400 and C6 tranny with 2200-2400 stall converter. I'm attempting to set the truck up for truck pulling. I came a cross a 429 someone was going to throw out. I pick it up and haven't done much with it. I looking to start pulling it apart and rebuild it. I looked at some of the stroker kits and I feel that's the way I'm going to go. But I have a couple questions one the heads are D3VE-A2A which I believe is a stock head nothing special and was wondering what I can do help the flow(port and polish) would decking the head help I read about putting bigger valve in (what needs to be done to accomplish that). second I read that scat has two different kit a I think 4.14 and a 4.5 what CID would I be looking at w/ a 429 and what overbore would be best. third valve train I want to run roller rockers which would help but should I spend the extra money and go complete roller cam, lifter or solid lift or hyd lifters. The classes around here doesn't have a limit on CID or aluminum intakes or cylinder heads. I would like to work with the heads I have now and maybe later on down the road go to something else. Last thing is what range of HP do you think I might be in.

Re: 429 build

4.14 with a 30 overbore = 502cu. 4.5 with a 30 overbore= 545 cu. I'm building a 4.3 stroke with a 30 overbore that = 521. Look at my post making a 514. Paul kane gave alot of advice on making a stroker BB ford
