460 Big Block to XW Falcon

Anyone have any info on fitting a 460 in an XW..I have found that castlemaine rodshop does mounts + pipes.Any experience on how they fit and are the tower braces necessary..Also castle auto electrics do a nice looking set of pipes that are a little less expensive than CRS..
Any input is appreciated..
I have fitted several 460's in XA + later falcons but just wondering what works in an XW...

Re: 460 Big Block to XW Falcon

Haven't had any experiance putting a BB in an XW (I have a BB in a XB coupe) but I know several guys with work from CRS and it has always been spot on. Mail ordered, fits first time, top quality. (It was stuff like engine mounts, pipes, bellhousing adaptors and flywheels)

Re: 460 Big Block to XW Falcon

i have seen quite a few dodgy v8 kits from said supplier... (tho im not giving him a bad rep, this comes from someone who knows and has been using his kits for 20 odd years...) have a look at pacemaker, they do a bb kit(mounts and extractors) for bb in xa-xc,and also xw-xy.

I have used the pacemaker pipes and mounts in XA+ XD's +XE's and they fit really well..
I've never seen the XW or XY pipes or mounts listed.Would you happen to have any part numbers i could chase up..Thanks for all the input..

Chased up the pacemaker gear and there is no listing for the early falcons, only XA onwards..
I got in contact with castle auto electrics who were very helpful and they have the mounts as well as pipes at a very good price..I think that's what i'll be using...

It is coming together slowly..I am picking up the manifold today for it..I ordered it (weiand stealth) last november and just got it now..I have everything else. The engine is being machined now so hopefully a few weeks away i should have some results.
