Hello,

Today my engine went kaput in my '75 Lincoln. The starter is spinning rapidly and I think the timing chain snapped.

Does anybody know if the 460's in 1975 were interference engines? Can I just replace my timing chain or is there potential valve damage?

Any suggestions or hints before I start?

Don't know but I just replaced the timing chain in my 302 C ZH Ford Chairlane , while still in the car ... What a hassle. Goodluck.
