HELLO
I am looking for the best option in carburators for my Drag Race Car Mach 1 1973, right now my heads are fully ported and polish, so I had two 650 holley bath some people told me those carbs aren´t the best option so I am looking some opinions for my carbs, I am not an expert bath maybe two 800-850 can work fine on my proyect.

How big is the engine? Combo? Cam? Stall? etc. Two 850's sounds like a lot but may or may not be....

Well, I'm in no position to say much. I'm struggling with a single carb on a dual plane intake. But that does sound excessive. My thinking is, and it could be all wrong is a total of around 1000 to 1200 cfm. I have seen dual 1050's on the things. Like Paul said, it may be to much and maybe not.

My engine is a BBF 460 with a Kit stroker 545 CID, crankshaft 4.5 scat, connecting rods H forged scat 6.7, JE fflat top orged pistons over 0.30, compression ratio 13.9:1, Heads Edelbrock Performer Aluminium CJ fully ported and polish,C6 transmission, Camshaft Solid Roller 272/280 @0.500.
I dont know if two 800 cfm carbs is too much or no too much I am only loocking some person with a similar combo and experience with a Tunel Ram before to select the carburators. If is there somebody with a tunel , please tell me about your carbs.

Clearly a drag race only car, judging by the pic. You might want to look at some custom carb manufacturers that can set you up with the proper carbs based on your 545 engine package and drag racing application. these guys will want to know the weight of the car, axle ratio, etc. Two places that come to mind are Quick Fuel Technolgy and Texas Performance Carburetors.

For good quality stock rebuilt carbs, this guys sells some nice Holley #4223 850 cfm Center Squirters, or 750's, whatever you need. Click HERE and tell him Paul Kane sent you.

Yes, my car is only for Drag Race, and his weight is 2850 lbs, slicks 33x14x15.
I am going to try to talk with this people in Texas, maybe I"ll can be in Texas on July. I expect they can help me with my Carbs.
