Hello ,
I'am Building A 460 For My 65 F100.the Lifters Don't Align With The Cam They hang over
My Understanding That Lifters are Not Directly Over The Lobe On The Cam . What Is Acceptable? Does Anyone Have Any Thoughts?

The cam lobe is not supposed to be dead-center beneath the lifters. Rather, is is intentinally offset to one side; this promotes rotation of the lifter. If the cam lobe were dead center beneath the lifter, the lifter would not rotate and would be chewed up as a result.

Thanks Paul. Was Tinkering This Afternoon And Set All Lifters In The Bores, And They All Set The Same, Even With One Side Of The Lobe.
I'am Just Happy That I Don't Have A Problem Did'nt Think So But Would Rather Be Safe Than Sorry.
