Hey I have a set of heads here which I believe to be 429 heads but I can't find any infomation about them. I've been to a couple of sites trying to cross ref the casting number but I can't get any info. The casting number is a DOVE-A, I seen that the CJ block for 70-71 have a DOVE-A casting number but I've yet to see a site with information with a DOVE-A cylinder heads casting number. My father gave these to me and its one of those I got theses from a friend back in the day who he got from a friend so I can't go by word of mouth on what they are. A little help from you 429 buffs.

Early 1970 model cylinder head castings for the 429/460 engine. They are not Cobra Jet (D0OE-R) heads.

D0VE heads are closed chamber heads, have 75-77cc combustion chambers, 2.08" intake valves, 1.65" exhaust valves and a really nice intake port architecture.

In a max effort situation with bigger valves, some bowl blending and agressive exhaust port work, the D0VE heads can support over 600HP on a 460 and more than that on a stroker.

We currently retail those bare castings for $279 per pair (less if you purchase port work with them)...if you hunt Ebay, you can find them for notably less sometimes.
