I have a 1990 MH with a 460 EFI & an overdrive trans . motor is in ex. cond . but the best mileage I can sqeeze out of it is 6 1/2 to 7 mpg . I've had a 1986 460 ci with a carb . & I got 8-9 mpg . Is this normal for EFI ?? Any suggestions on improveing my mileage . I do know how to drive to conserve fuel . Thanks AL

First get the line pressure checked, there is a vaccume controller on the fuel rail I have found that often sticks.

1990 may pay to remove the injectors and have them sonic cleaned as well.
