Question Heads and intake for 460.

G'day all. I'm looking to replace the heads and intake on my 460, looking for more horses. Has extractors and a mild cam. Not a lot to choose from. I'm thinking Edelbrock Victor Jnr CJ heads with matching intake and perhaps a carby update from the Holley 770. What do you reckon?

Re: Heads and intake for 460.

You may also look into Trick Flow. I know that they have some aluminum heads to choose from, from street to full race applications, and they also have intake manifolds.

If you go to the summit racing website you can go into and click on the advanced search section, this will allow you to search for the ford 7.5L 460 engine application, and then click on engines and components.

Summit racing has tons of after market parts for almost anything and have 4 pages of heads for your choosing. The brands that they have to offer for the 460 are Trick Flow, Ford Racing, and of course Edelbrock.

Below is a link directly to summit racing cylinder heads for your 460 application. some of the prices are OK, but some of them can be somewhat pricey.

Below is a link to just intake manifolds.

Finally this is a direct link to intake manifolds with carburetor combos. Unfortunately they only have tunnel ram dual quads.

Depending on your budget may determine what you get, but this is just one place that can offer you tons of options. Also remember if your truly interested in something make sure you go to the manufacturers website and check out the same part if possible. Sometimes places get things wrong when listing information, so its just a double check. I hope this can help in some small way.

Smile Re: Heads and intake for 460.

Thanks for that. Had a look at Summit, 3.5 pages of heads. Much appreciate your input.
