The block reads DOVE. On the front of the block below the water pump, it shows 460 in raised stamping. The engine is in a 71 Torino that came with a 429CJ. Is this normal for a 429CJ to have 460 on the block?

Hi. since the 429 and 460 are both the 385 series type engine I think your ok. I think my old 429 had 460 on the block also. you just have a stroked 460. good luck. p.s. remember, don't over rev. your big block. bad things can happen
