help with LH exhaust manifold - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

I have what I've always been led to believe a 429 in my restored '81 F-Truck here in Australia. The head is stamped D3VE-A2A ('73 Lincoln).

Is it a 429 or a 460, or a miss-mash of perhaps both?

The exhaust manifold that is cracked beyond repair is stamped C9VE-8431 ('69 Lincoln). I have one from a '75 Lincoln (D5VE-9431-AB) but the flange is completely wrong.

Does anyone have a LH Exhasut manifold C9VE-8431 that I can just bolt on and get back on the road straight away? You could send it USPS, as I've had stuff from the states all the time via USPS.

I really don't want to go down the avenue of getting my exhasut system changed to suit the part I bought locally.

D3VE is the cylinder head engineering revision and this head was used on 1973 429's and on 1973-1985 460's. More info is need in order to determine whether your engine is a 429 or a 460.
