Re: kmon lets talk BIG BLOCKS

G'day guys, just thought i'd tell about my project car, an xb coupe, 460 backed by a c4. Not on the road yet still missing a couple of little parts (any got a spare weiand stealth manifold?). I got into big blocks when I was taken for a drive in a 460 '46 Ford tudor, after that I had to have one, and nothing comes close to the felling of a big block.

Re: kmon lets talk BIG BLOCKS

I had considered running a big block in my race car, but that's what everyone else was running. I wanted to be a little different.
I have ran big block's and I agree, the feeling of all that torque is fantastic, but a well prepped small block can still put a big smile on your face.

Re: kmon lets talk BIG BLOCKS

I will go against the grain and say the Un-Thinkable

460 Big Blocks are over rated.

They are not that quick in stock/mild form.
Unless you spend big cash they are big slugs.

They are an absolute C*NT to keep cool and have very little Low down torque.
Well, not as much as you might expect.

Mabe i got a Dud?

But then again, its carting around 3 Tonne, mabe thats why it feels like a slug
