Noob 466 Build up
I recently bought a 1983 F-250 HD that I would like to beef up a little to enhance its towing ability's. Here is what I am thinking of doing to it.
TRW-L2404F30 pistons (guessing will be about 8.5 cr)
Comp Cam FF X4 256H-11 cam
OFY-6060DP Dual Port intake
Stock carb rebuilt and tuned
Stock ignition with hotter coil and high quality wires (Taylor,MSD Etc...)
3" single exhaust with DNA Truck Series muffler fed by a Flomaster 2 1/2" to 3" y pipe off stock manifolds
Stock heads will be cleaned up with the exhaust side worked a little more (smog bump eliminated etc)
What I am looking for is a motor that acts stock around town but when loaded down (it will be pulling a 26' bumper pull travel trailer or a 18' dual axle car hauler) has a bit more than the stock HP. I'm thinking this build should get me in the 275-300 hp range. Any ideas?
