reversing stock manifolds

i hear stock exhaust manifolds can be bolted straight up when reversed with the idea of a turbo setup in mind.
This true??

yes mate you can swap side to side

long time ago before off shelf extractors this was done to clear steer box in xys by using 2 left hand side manifolds
