finally my car arrived into sydney today from far north queensland(rockhampton) t.n.t would not bring it out to me until the 3rd of may,i have already waited 5 weeks for it,so we went and grabbed it.
now i just got to get it registered,engineered.already removed bonnet and dummy fitted std unit,i reckon aircleaner will fit under,removed rear wing it is metal are these hard to come buy???, also removed ugly rear window louvre.it also has 4 xd bucket seats front and rear with racing harnesses,these will also being replaced with std units.other than that i will get it regoed before our rules everchange see how it goes,sort it out,then strip it down and start again

just out of interest. what sort of ball park did u pay for it?

i think you will find the GT wing is factory fitted if its metal. i think the GT wings were aluminium from ford. someone else who knows their GT should b able to confirm this. if it is genuine....dont sell it!!!!!

The XY wings were fiberglass with cast alloy ends and legs the alloy ones with the T-bar type legs were a motorcraft part and could be dealer fitted to the XA-B GTs. there not worth a lot I just sold one at a swap meet for $40.

nah. rocky a looong way from here. would really like a bigblock but have to wait for our house to b built. just interested to know what sort of money an XW is worth these days.
