Hello folks,

I am looking at a 65 mustang but it has been rear ended and the bumber and the tail light panel have been bent in. I know the bumber is no problem but i was wondering if the tail light panel was just spot welded and can be drilled out and then replaced.

G'day mike,
Yes they are spot welded, and can be replaced. Replacement Beavers are readily available at a realistic price (under $200).

The hard thing with them is that many of the spot welds are EXTREMELY hard to find, even to the point an experienced tradesman will struggle, unless they have EXTENSIVE mustang experience!

Cheers
Jas
