Hi,

How can I tell what model Mustang the console I have is out of?

Convertable?
Coupe?
Fastback?

And whether it will work in a car with A/C?

Other discussion I'm having talk about bulges on the sides of the console to fit over rips in the floor. I'm still not sure what I'm looking for

any input is appreciated

The bulges you mention are actually cut outs or scallops.

Further to this...
I have attatched a link to a photo of a NON aircon console fitted to a convertible...unfortunatley i do not have a pic showing the scallops nassi mentioned that suit the convertible seat platform.
