69' Mustang tire/wheel change

I want to replace my 14" Magnum 500 wheels as my mechanic says that 3 are bent which cause a slight shaking at cruisin' speed.
Presently I have "Kelly -SuperChargers white lettered tires 245/60-14 on and want to replace with white lettered tires. The Kelly tires aren't readily available in my area and I have seen the replacement tires but they are only avaialble in 15".
Has anybody changed up their 69'/70' "Stang" to 15" and can advise me of their tire size or any problems incurred.

I'm looking at Magnum 500's Series 54 - 15 X 7
Uniroyal Tiger Paws 235/60 - 15

I've seen the 235's on a 72' and everything fit well and I'm told the sizing will fit but being a believer in Murphy's Law I don't want to learn the hard way.
Thanx

Re: 69' Mustang tire/wheel change

According to Tire size calculator your targeted tire is very close in diameter, but you'll still be moving a little bit faster than your speedometer reads (assuming it's correct now). Other than that, as long as the wheel's offset is correct for for your Mustang, there shouldn't be any interference problems with the fit.

Thanks - I appreciate the info.
