I have a guy claiming he can sell me one for $9500AUD, but I am almost positive he is trying to scam me.

It is an international purchase from England.

There is a bit of this going around, but normaly from Italy. If they ask you to transfer deposit funds using Western Union, avoid this system as it is very easy to fraud which is way Scam artists like to use it. Ask for the cars VIN number which will allow you to run a check on it. If it's a scam they will mostly like avoid suppling this.

BTW, an orginal Shelby GT500 will be worth a pretty penny.

I think it's a scam. A 68 GT 500 fastback is worth around $50,000 US, if it's in perfect shape. A converible is worth about $70,000 US.

There are plenty of scams going on out there and usually if it is too good to be true then it's probably a scam. As Stacy has suggested ,the price is way below normal value.

dont buy anything when its to good to be true, and dont buy anything when they ask for money to be put into western union bank or deposit of 2K.
U can buy my 1969 cobra jet 428 if u want a real car at real price.
