Project 65 RatStang...
well Since im the mod for the classic mustangs, I decided id let you guys know what im up to.when i was 17 my pops bought me a 65 mustang, straight cali car, only rust spots are in the truck and a spot about the size of a quarter on the pass side door, besides that the whole friggin thing is rust free, frame, floors everything. so when i first got it i started sanding the ladie down, fixed a few spots, and after i graduated from high school, i let it sit, so now im 22, going to school at UTI (automotive tech school), so now i gained interest again, after 5 years...
So ive ordered my catalog from year one and i talked to a friend at school who's a professional welder, and hes gonna tub the rear end, and take out the fuel tank and put a solid trunk floor in so i can run a fuel cell. and ill prolly have him shave the door handles too. I know all you resto freaks are gonna hate this, but this is gonna be an original 65 Rat Rod Stang. its still gonna look pretty stock, but theres gonna be nothing stock about it. pics will be up next week....
Oh yeah i almost forgot, its gonna be numbers matching engine/trans/frame etc, etc.... im not gonna be no wimp and do a engine transplant, its gonna be a totally rebuilt 289, with everything, hopefully
