I was told that to convert my 1969 ford truck to disc brakes in the front I would half to buy a Conversion kit but they are expensive..... so I found a 1976 ford f-100 and was wondering if I could take the I-Beams and all and install it on my truck??? to avoid the costly expense of a conv. kit.

I dont think you can since its a 1976 because 76 isn't interchangable with a 69. I know body parts are from 68-72 are interchangable. I know the 73-79 are interchangable. Have you tried Lmctruck.com.

Sorry, but that is completely inaccurate. A '76 front end is a simple bolt-on...it's the easiest way to get disc brakes. In fact, all '65-'79 F100-F350 2WD trucks use the same basic front suspension setup, and the front steering/suspension can be swapped as a unit. There are some subtle differences that prevent some mixing/matching of separate components with each other, but as long as the entire front end is swapped over as a unit, it's a simple bolt-on.
