I was looking online and a guy has a 1976 f100 he is parting out. I was wondering if there might be any parts I could use like the a/c unit maybe door glass or dashboard or even the bench seat. He is asking $400 for the truck so I was just curious. Thanks for any help!

By the time you're done replacing, dehydrating, and restoring the AC, you probably could've bought it from LMC. A lot of things such as seats, engine mounts, etc. are interchangeable from 57 to 96, mainly the outer skin and cosmetics changed. Technically, you can take your shell and drop it on a 92 with only a few modifications. Unfortunatley, I don't think the glass is interchangeable.
What I'd do is go to LMC (or someone similar) and compare parts by part number. Part of the problem when they change molding (like dash pads) is that they also move screw holes.
They got it for 73-79, too... I'm saving mine as well.
