How can I prove to my truck is a '69?

Gah. The title should have read "How can I prove to DMV my truck is a '69?".
Anyway.
I've just purchased a 1969 F100 that was manufactured in August of 1968 and which my Grandad bought new in September of '68. Unfortunately the (Georgia) title and registration have listed the thing as a 1968 model for all these years.
I'm going to be registering and retitling the thing in Tennessee, and I want to get the year corrected when I do so. Can anyone suggest a way I can prove to DMV that this is in fact a 1969 model?

I belive the vin # tells all. First digit, according to my book.
To the OP, how do you know it is a 1969 model?

Re: How can I prove to my truck is a '69?

Hi Fonz,
My granddad bought this truck new in Sept. of '68 and it being a 69 model is something I've just always known.
The grille has an indention in the center horizontal bar that is unique to the '69's but I don't know of any other features it has that would differentiate it from a 68. The rear-view mirror is glued to the windshield but I'm not sure if that change happened on the 68s or the 69s.

In any case, I was able to register and title the thing with the correct year already. I had the bill of sale filled out as a 69 model, and I provided a rubbing of the VIN, which if they run it, will prove the year is correct. Thanks for your help guys.

Yep, first digit should be "9" for 1969.
