Need help!!!
WHere can I find the factory paint codes on my 1987 ford mustang lx? THe one on the drivers side door is illegible. THanks in advance, Mustang Salli, go easy, new member here.

the paint codes are located on the door or door jamb if you look on the tag on the bottom you will find the words "exterior paint color just above that will be a two letter code such as YO or PB ect this is the paint code call an automotive paint store and give them the two letter code and the year of vehicle and they will be able to supply paint that matches the vehicle

I just found this out.

If the door data tag is missing, you can call Ford customer service at 1-800-392-FORD and they will send you the build sheet for your car, you just need to give them the VIN.
