What is the best way to clean a car just painted and should any wax be applied to it.

If you've just got it resprayed you shouldn't use a wax or polish for at least 3 months to make sure your paint has cured. What you can use is a glaze, it doesn't polish, it used to enhance and protect new paint. Use what I used "3M Imperial Hand Glaze", it doen't last a long as wax so you'll need to apply it more often than you would a wax.

After the 3 months you can start using a polish and wax combo

Polish - 3M Finesse-it finishing material (to clean paint)
Wax - 3M Perfect-it sgow car wax (protect paint)

to maintain use 3M Perfect-it gloss enhancer (between waxes)
