HELP! XF Front Guard Rust...How to Fix?

Hey Guys..

Well the Rust in the bottom of the front guards on my XF has gotten bad...the bottom of the guards are virtually gone :-(...My mechanic says id better get it looked at or ill have no guards soon hehe

I had a look at rare spares and they sell the repair sections for the guards...but is it something that a panel beater will have to fit?

Will the guards have to be removed off the vehicle to be fixed? Will it cost a motza??

Thanks

Extreme

Depends how talented you are, but they normaly dont just fall on. Have you priced a set of gaurds from the wreckers,or even new off ford? Might be cheaper in the long run, once rust is there it is very hard to get rid of forever.

If it was me i'd save all the hassling and go out and buy new ones as MaD_WoG said about $90 for new ones.

Yeah, cheaper to buy new ones. Most rust specialist's will charge you more than that for having to do the work. Plus, you still have to paint it afterwards.
