im rebuilding an engine as well as prettying it up, Im just wondering what u cant spray with the high temp paint and is there anything i need to do to prep for it???
Can u spray the:
Rocker Cover?
Intake Manifold?
Engine Block?
Sump?
Extractors?
Fuel Rail?
Oil Cap?
Does anyone know the cost of getting things chromed the proper may???
you can paint anything with high temp paint. it seems that there is no need for preparation at all cause there is no high temp primer, so just clean the surfaces of all oil/grease/wax and go for it.
as for the chroming, dunno. I once priced getting a BMX frame redone and it was going to be about $120 inlcuding the acid dip.

You just use a high temp, mat paint as a base, then spray it over with full duco colour if you want, only exception is the exhasut, I did that on my XF paint stayed true duco colour no problems for 5 years.
