how do you remove those little bumper/side moulding strips?
i want to put chrome fairmont strips on the bumpers and door mouldings, but how do i remove the old ones without ripping the paint off?

Very careful and gentle application of a heat gun.

Ive heard of using some thin fishing line and using it to cut the foam/sticky backing behind the strip?

If all else fails you can always try some white spirit. Removes just about anything...

The hair dryer might even be better as there is less chance of getting it too hot and bubbling the paint.

Don't know if this applies to your car, but on my EA S the red bumper strip is an insert. Remove the bumper and you'll see how it fits into the ends and how to pull it out.
