Paint around rear quarter windows

In a 1996 EF XR6, around the rear quarter window, there is a thin layer of paint and this is starting to flake off on the right hand side.

Does anyone have any idea on what type of paint to use, or recommendations on how to do it properly?

You'll need a flexible plastic paint, and a good primer...You'll have to strip it right back or it'll flake again.

dont know, but it happend to my EF and is slowly starting on the NF aswell.

Its allways on the right hand side for some reason too.

i think you just rip them off and spray it with some spray paint in a can, thats what a spray painter told me once when i demolished my EF

Awe shucks ! - Thanks for that tibbo !!!

Just 1 correction that I need to make to that page,
!!!!!! DO NOT USE AUSTRALIAN EXPORT CLEAR COAT !!!!!!!

Just in case you didnt understand me, I will say it again !

!!!!!! DO NOT USE AUSTRALIAN EXPORT CLEAR COAT !!!!!!!

Why am I saying this ????
The stuff is absolutely brilliant, except after about 2 weeks, when it gets wet. It becomes a milky sort of crap, and ruins all your hard work, meaning you will need to rub it all back, and start again !!!!

I re-sprayed all that stuff again, with the only difference being Using a hald decent Clear Coat (PowerPlus) the second time !

I did this around Christmas, and the paint is still on, no scratches,
has been washed numerous times, and looks very good !
