I bought some paints so i can spray a few things to go on my coupe. The paint place gave me acrillic paints. But the clear coat uses a hardener?? does this mean its a 2pac clear coat??

Also Do i mix thinners with the Hardener and clear, because the hardener is 2parts to one part clear??

If i do have to add thinners whats the ratio ???? one to one??

Sounds like urethane - base coat / clear coat - uses an acylic base mixed 1:1 with thinner then a clear topcoat mixed usually 2:1 or 4:1 with hardener - and up to 10% reducer ..

On the question of paints, if I walk into a store and buy mixed paint, what should I ask for, I would be spraying stuff at home in the garage.

Where can i get more info on this?
the last clear coat i used on my bumper has cracked all over the place!

ask for your paint mix in a base coat/clear coat urethane system ..

And make sure to be safe - all paints are dangerous to health ..

The mixing ratios' should be clearly stated on the cans or properly given to you by the supplier ..
Cracking can be caused by many things and usually a result of poor adhesion .
