I think you've convinced me, ill have to wrap up in a whole body condom with a good respirator tho, i dont want to die.
I played with 2 pack on my first car, and was impressed with the fact that i reversed into a parked car dented in my boot but didnt chip any paint off! it sets like friggen cement.
I have heard about a new two-pack paint that can be used without a complete respirator kit. I understand that it has all the properties of two-pack without the poisionous stuff. Unfortunately I don't know any more details, but it might be worth investigating.

Actually Acrylic is easy to scratch and chip + can get ALOT of shine. I dont know what acrylic paint jobs u have seen but I have seen as good and sometimes even better than 2 pack. Although I must admit it depends on the spray painter and preperation. And to add its less hassle with 2 Pack and HEAPS more time efficient. But i prefer acrylic myself.... it matches the leaf springs and chrome bumpers

Acrylic is easier to use, especially for beginners and you can fix mistakes easier by sanding back and buffing.
2-pack is good because it goes on glossy, no buffing required usually but as others have said very poisonous if you breath it in, really should be done in spray booth by someone who is experienced in using it.

You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little note on the windscreen. It said, 'Parking Fine.'So that was nice.
I thought I read somewhere that spraying 2pac yourself in a residential area is illegal?

Using 2 pack without the right equipment (booth , extraction unit etc) is illegal, and you may even find that you cant buy it.
The fumes given off are iso-cyanoacrylate (poisonous).
I have spayed a number of cars and would never use anything but acrylic lacquer. It's much more forgiving, a bit of orange peel , just colour sand it buff it up and its gone....
I think for the home spayer it's much easier to get a good finish in acrylic the 2 pac....
