Painted Bumpers, whoa :D

NO I haven't done it yet , but after I photoshopped my car to see the difference, suddenly color coding came to the top of my priorities list. And should be for everyone. For those of you who are not aware of the difference FULLY color coded bumpers make to an EA, here's the comparison...

Now why oh why didn't Ford do this to begin with. Yet another item added to the long "if only....." list

I've suddenly fallen in love with the current color of my car Be ready to see REAL color coded pics very soon

PS: Sorry to those of you that can't fit the entire pic in their browser window

Great stuff Steven! I reckon that will look fantastic. Might I suggest doing the door handles at the same time.

The only reason they weren't colour coded from the factory is because the GLs were aimed at the dollar conscious fleet/taxi market.

Keep us posted!

EF door handles and EF mirrors will be put on at the same time, aswell as painting all other grey plastics black. Will also source a fairmont ghia rear garnush to top it of

Colour code them!

I hate the looks of EA's with all the black bits, thats why I got an ED, it had colour coded everything, except the top ofthe bumper, But I think that looks better anyway.

That really looks great! The rims suit it well when its colour coded. Although I thing the EF morrors are too round for the EA shape and dont loook like theyre ment to be on the car if you know what I mean. EF handles would look ok but youll lose the use of the passenger lock. One thing Id love to do is get AU handles fitted. Prolly be pretty damn cotly tho which means itll never happen!
I just a stock bumper (old yellow ea bumper) sprayed everglade whilt the car was having other work done on it. Grand total $130 including a new chome strip. Maybe its worth paying extra to get some one to do it?

Id have to disagree on the EF mirror comment, Ive got them and they look fine IMO....as long as they are colour coded. Its all down to personal taste though I guess.
