Please Help! Replacing panel and fixing bumper bar..

Hey guys..

Basically looking to get a white front-left panel to replace the old damaged one. Also, how much would I be looking at paying for one of these at pick-a-part or something?

How are the panels connected to the shell, and are they hard to replace yourself? Also if the bumper bar has been disconnected from the plastic arms that reach out can you still fix this cheaply?

If you've seen a white EA fairmont cruising around the western suburbs with a slightly damaged front left panel, and bumper hanging off at the left, thats ME!!

PLS help guys, cuz i don't know shite!!!

Thanks,
Dave

that panel is easy to replace, just a few small bolts. you should be able to see them. a row of them is above the panel in the engine bay and there might be some at the bottom but i cant remember.
it cost us about $250 to buy one from a wreckers and have it painted.

re.

Is it white?

Does it have any kind of stickers along the small groove half way up?

If it's white i'll definately be interested!

Thanks.

Re: re.

thats a good price for a quater, there is bolts along the top, 1 at the botton behind the door, and 1 under the gurad liner on to the back of the pannel at the bottom, and there will b 1 or 2, under the bumper bar. the slides u can by both inner and outer slides for EA's from ford, there only like $2.50each rough guess. at the front of the bar there is 2 bolts holding it on, on each side, if u look up under the bar from the outside of the car to the center, u should c them... ummm. think that should do ya... if ya didnt' wanna pull ya bar off, now u know how to.
catch ya l8r Jason

re.

Thanks anyway sphell but I wouldn't trust my self with a can of paint as far as I could throw myself. I think I'll go and buy a second hand white panel.

Went to pickapart up on the hume highway today, man there is a lot of shit cars there.. Out of the whole lot, there was about 3 white ea's, and all had either no lhs front panel, or scratched, dinted, and paint coming off.

The guards were on special for $20 each though which is ****en good!

Thanks, Dave
