frown windscreen seals and rust

Hello guys iam in the $#its I need to get a new windscreen seal for the front of my mk2 panel van as the other one is rooted problem is theres little and big rust holes near the screen seal on both sides and under the "A" piller theres rust and little dents (dont ask how those dents got there coz iam still wonderin myself) and i wont to know is there someone in melbourne that can weld in new steel or can a A piller rust repair section be found including the gutter and can it be done properly coz one of my mates got his done and they $#ed up his car bad u can see were they put the new steel.

Any competent panel beater could fix up the rust, but it won't be cheap. You cannot get replacement panels for these cars anymore, so the patches have to be made from scratch. Other option is to haunt the wreckers/Trading post and have a look at what is out there. If you find a body with the rust-free bits you are after, hook in with an angle grinder, cut out the sections you need and get em transferred to your car.

Yep, and do it properly because the A pillar is real important for the strength of the car, especially in a crash.

Hrmmm iam gonna cheack out my options and if worse comes to worse ill just get another escort and transfer all my stuff to it. coz its already got a cut and shut years ago and now this stuff happens might not be worth the effort when i can get some other escort in better condtion
