Hi can anyone recommened any good spraypainting books for learning.
are there specialized bookshops for them ?

If you are spraying at home, then you need to use acrylic paints, a 50/50 mix of paint and thinners has worked best for me, in about 20-25 degree heat.

What are you planning, minor repairs or a whole car re-spray.

thanks for your reply , i'm planning on doing the front , but seeing that i've never sprayed a car before i'd like to get some info before attempting

What air compressor have you got, or planning to get.

Have you ever sprayed with cans of paint before ?

i have a 15 cfm compressor , and yes i have sprayed before , just not sure on how many coats to do , and rubbing back ect. So i'd like to know what i'm doing before i attemped any work on it.

Coat wise you do as many as the paint you've got will allow especially on the front of the car.

On average most places depending on paint coverage would put 4->5 coats of color and 2-3 or clear. When I did mine I managed about 8->10 coats I think and about 4-5 coats of clear.
