Umm... can anyone give me some advice on how to do this? It's only for a small area of the car, the 'pillar' I think it's called (the bit between the front and rear door), where the paint has worn away and the metal is exposed.

Mate its hard to really no with out seeing , but if its any bare metal suface it has to be cleaned free of all dirt and suface rust then primed to seal it of and then top coated and clear finsh if needed .

un less the door seals are stuffed and the doors are rubbing on the top of each other against the piller .
