VT cooking batteries and chipping paint

Had to get a new battery for my car today after the original Dunlop one has kicked the bucket.
Got an exide 550 cca for $100
The guy who i know quite well told me that he has heaps of VT and VX owners coming to him for new batteries because Holden only use flat metal trays to hold the battery , not the plastic boxes like Ford and the heat from the engine cooks the battery within a year and sometimes 2 years. Mine lasted almost 4 years.
I also went to other battery shops and they all said the same thing
Thank heavens i bought a Ford and not a piece of sh*t HOLDEN.
Where i work, 2 guys have a Holden Calais and a statesmen and they told me that their paint is that thin that you can chip it off with your fingernails. Told that to a friend of mine who works at Holdens in the paint shop and he said they are told to use as little paint as possible to save money.

CHEAP BASTARDS.

Well done, now that's a great battery. What brand is it.
Great Coupe there mate, i had an XA hardtop too, yellow with black stripe on bottom. Fairmont 500 with 351 4v cleve, c4 trans with hurst shifter. I wish i had never sold it but after a 3 year restoration job i was really low on the cash and i needed to get a new car to replace my ageing Suzuki
The interior was perfect.
I'll post a picture of it once i get a scanner.

XA/XB and XC coupe's are the best looking Falcon's ever made.My fondest memory. 1977 1 and 2 finish at bathurst. Now they were race cars.

What tyres have you got on yours. I had 265's on mine. Not sure what profile. Farely big i think
Most people i speak too hate the angled taillights. I just love them
The Xb's were too flat and boring. The XC had the best interior
My mum's XC had a rally pack dash with heaps of gauges. I LIKE GAUGES!

I'll try and get the only remaining photo i have of it scanned ASAP for you.
Don't think mine was as clean as yours but hell it went like the Wind.
