Hey can anyone tell me if any 79-82 XD falcon parts, eg bonnet,doors,boot,etc fit or are compatible to the 82 ZJ fairlane.(i know its longer, but is that only in the rear quarter?)

Everything from bootlid to bonnet will interchange.. anything from XD XE XF ZJ ZK ZL all with eachother. tailights rear bar and Quarter panels do not. Fairlaine/Ltd rear doors are Station Wagon. Drivetrain from Fairlaines/Ltd's are Ute/ Wagon P/van length..

So go for it put pretty much whatever parts you want on your car

Xd sedan rear doors will not fit the ZJ Fairlane. The Fairlane rear doors are longer.

Are you saying that the Fairlane/LTD & station wagon rear doors are the same? Bit hard to understand.

Its not just XD/ZJ even into the E series...Wagon and Fairlanes share the same rear doors.

Everything else willfit, although on the XD.ZJ especially the profiles are diffent.....i.e guards/bonnet/headlights/ grille are all a set

doors are the same, i have measured them... identical length

guards are different.... because the fairlane has different indicators....

yes door skins themselves are all the same its just the rear Quarter window that changes.. fairlaine LTD and Wagon have a squarish Quarter glass. Sedan is one of a kind uses a Triangle glass pointy top.. XD-XF.
Ute, panel van wagon, and fairlaine are all the same wheel base.. Sedan is approx 1 ft shorter.
