on my XG longreach (falcon ute), it is the Gli model, this means the bumpers are a plastic material.

what i want to know is it possible to take these plastic bumpers off and replace them with the factory sports kits that are on the upper models for these utes?

and if this is possible what will the price be around?

You mean that you want to put an XG XR bumper on the front? Or did you want something like an XH?

Any bumper from an XF or XG will fit straight on. However I think putting the XH bumper on requires, XH guards, headlights, bonnet, and a little bit of DIY handyman make sure you have a hammer handy kinda stuff.

OR, you could get the front bar from the MMM kit from a place such as 'Adelaide Special Vehicles' (more local to me). It's designed to suit the XF but will fit straight on and will set you back around $500 unpainted. Not including frieght.

i also have an XG that had a damaged ugly grey bumper, mines an S pack. i have bought an XF leaded(pre 1986 as they don't have the side indicators)(XG has indicators in the gaurds) if your bumper is in good condition you can simply get the plastic bumper primer then paint it body colour as the XR6 is thats what i'm doing, why ford did not do this in the first place has got me stuffed. couldn't have cost them much more surely. a panel shop could also do this job easily
