Hi everyone, I am busy repainting my XY and decided on Electric Blue colour. Is this colour a metallic paint? The code is S, Colour Electric Blue, Shade 12531. I also notice they refer to Dulon, is this a brand name? Our local paint shop do not have record of this paint and requested more info ie equivalent codes in either PPG or Glaserit. Can you help please.

I had an electric blue XY once (never should have sold it)... yes, it was metallic.

Dulon is the old acrylic system but if that paint code is off your car the formula should come up in basecoat. Suss out your local automotive paint supplier. Any futher probs let us know see wot i can find out at work.

Yes I discussed with local paint supplier. They have no record at all and have now asked Glazerit in Germany if they can help. Why must certain things be so complicated in life? Is their maybe a sample colour that i can refer to that will be accurate to use for mixing the paint? Please see if you cant help me on this one. Thx for the help. Daanp

Looked up your paint code at work today. It came up without any problems.We use Standox 2k@basecoat dont know your location so i dont know how much more help i can be. Look in the yellow pages for a standox dealer or crash shop that uses it.

Many thx for your help. Found everything on the Standox website. And yes, we have a agent so I will be contacting them in the morning. Once the paint job is finished I will post some pics.
