1/4 Mile times for EA

Hey, I know it's been posted here a million times but I can't find the 1/4 Mile times for the EA Manual and Auto. Does anyone here have the factory numbers as I went to the drags tonight and most of the cars there were getting 15-16 seconds which seemed pretty high.

Aren't the Manual EA's rated in the high 15's for quarter mile times?

Cheers

The manual MPI EA S (the best of them all) achieved a 15.5 according to Wheels. Anything under 16 seconds commands respect in my opinion.

ford claimed 15.8 sec for the manual ea s pac

which for the time was bloody good i added a extractor and exhaust set up and got my spac down to 15.3 with wheelspin
i reckon the ea is a worthy start to a decently quick falcon project

cheers.joe.

I didn't know EA's were really that quick. Im quite impressed, I thought EA's (due to their weight) would be low 16s...

Always good to hear

But guys... last night at the drags it was the street meets session(street cars) and well they only seemed to be able to get from low 15's to high 15's.

How could a stock EA with manual be able to keep up with these hotted up beasts? I noticed they got heaps of wheel spin through ALL the gear changes, and still couldn't crack the 15 second mark.

I don't have a EA manual and haven't seen one run before... am I missing something here

carazy: That doesn't make it light.. its still a heavy car
"1418 to 1599 kilograms, depending on model"
peh, 1418kg my ass.. The Falcon is a heavy assed car..

ANY wheel spin is bad, how were these people launching? did they get wheel spin off the launch? Even wheel spin between changes isn't good, its a loss of traction, which is a loss of time.

can someone post a dyno plot? I wanna see the curve...

Thats why I said it was the lightest modern falcon rather than saying it was a light car.
Crap driving makes for stupidly slow times in a good car.
One of my mates has a car he got with a time slip for 14's but the fastest he's got was 15.8
So there you go.
