I was bored the other day so i went for the ol wheel and tyre package from b janes and seeing that they hardly ever have anything to fit an e-series i was wrapped to find that they were including the AMG "quake whhels.
Anyhow because they are only 8 inches wide ..there goes my dream of fitting the 265s on rear at extra cost,so i was toying with the idea of 245s all round but they will sit taller than the 235s the package comes with.
anyhoo,will the car sit THAT much higher(noticible) if i pick the 245s?
im thinking of just going the 18 235 40 because that keeps it cheaper and its what the package comes out with...any ideas?i wanted wiiideeee!but 235s arent exactly skinny either.

gee whiz i wish i had your money to go buy something everytime i was bored

the 235 and 245's will sit at the same height cause the wheel and rubber cant go past a certain size otherwise it will put out your speedo which is illegal

215/r16/65 is the same size as 235/r18/40 when you put them up against each other

just worried because the guy at b janes said the 245s sit taller(he had the chart out and all that) dunno if i can justify an extra 90 bucks a tyre for 8mm(apparently) width hmmmmm cheers!

apparently the guy rang today saying he thinks the 265s will go on the rear but i aint too sure.
Mind u hes the expert(so to speak0 so thatll be 120 extra a tyre!!!)
anyhoo thatll be 265 35 18 rear and 235(not 245 the 265s are a mismatch w that size) 35 18 up front...should look pretty mean hay?(thats if thye 265s actually fit..hmmmm)
