Re: 650 horsepower EA anyone?

Whooar! Just did a little investigating and found out the price you paid! Wish I could blow that sort of money! I wont post the price incase you want it kept secret. I like your stratagy of waiting till the last minute to bid Did you still want that manifold or do you just need the one wayne gave you? Its still sitting here (tripping over it everytime i walk into the garage at night).

When are you putting the Tire Neon lights on? haha

Re: 650 horsepower EA anyone?

Nice one Jack. Good luck with the project.

When do you think it will be finished?

if you kill an engine in the process, its not much of a loss (what, $200 for a stock EA bottom end?)
If Doug doesn't buy the engine out of my wreck for $150 you should! Damn bargain. Engine is in pretty good nick.

Re: 650 horsepower EA anyone?

Cheers for the comments all. :o)

Trent, yes recent events did inspire me to get moving. I was waiting eternally for an RX-7 turbo to show up, and I'm starting to get old here so I thought I'd best not wait any longer.

I'm not sure how long it will take from here, but what I'll probably do is run ultra-low boost and hopefully pull a 14 with everything else stock (exhaust would be nice though), and when funds come in I'll deal with the transmission and finally the engine.

I'll get some pictures when it arrives so you can see the size of it relative to the engine.

Re: 650 horsepower EA anyone?

PS Karl if you get a chance to pass on the manifold at any stage it would still be appreciated, thanks. Chances are I'll stuff up the first one.

And those neon lights are just a joke. I think it would be quite amusing, sort of.

PS Sunny you still have to discover Ebay. I'm finding Ford parts sometimes go for top dollar. :o)

Re: 650 horsepower EA anyone?

Cheers for the offer John, but I should just see that guy with the blue EA, he'll have a few spares.

Matthew, intercoolers go for very little on Ebay. My concern is needing a new or modified front bumper, so I'm going to leave it until I'm running decent boost.

Re: 650 horsepower EA anyone?

Yeah I am on Ebay Jack. What does it cost to make an ad? I really have to get some pictures to post stuff on there. Doug has my digital camera atm, not that it takes the best photos anyway. If the snowflakes, engine, transmission and MPFI bits don't sell here I'm selling them on ebay.

It'd also help if I had a credit card to register :-(

Re: 650 horsepower EA anyone?

Good work, I cant wait to see it on the road.
Are you going to run an intercooler to begin with? You can use your stock bumper you just have to hack it up a little.

good luck with it all.
