Hey guys,
I've been searching for some clear tail lights for my EB for a while, and unfortunately I aint found none yet. But what I have seen is a guy on e-bay who I think is selling a transistor that tricks your ECU into thinking that the incoming air is really cooler than what it is (apparently boosting performance). I think he is charging around $18 for this, but he also includes instructions for many different, simple mods, one of which is 'how to make your own altezza (clear) tail lights'. I haven't actually seen these instructions, or a finished set of lights, but for this price, it may be worth a look. I will most likely invest in one of these transistors, and the included instructions, and will endeavor to let everyone know the results. I'm not really holding my breath, nor am I expecting tyre-frying performance upgrades, but for around $20, even 1 kW would be money well spent. Especially over the stock 165 windsor kW's I'm driving round with atm.
I'm not really sure exactly where this guy is on e-bay, but I think if you search car parts you will probably find it.

Good luck!
Another forum member had this to say about these ebay upgrades.

Try google for websites advertising chips (PROPER, such as Unichip, which seems to be the only one that comes to mind, although there are many out there which do wonderful things).
Remember that a chip is ultimately to optimise your particular engine configuration. If you buy a chip for your current setup (which may yield for example +10rwkw), and then you drop in a cam at a later date, it might not go well with the chip and you'll have to get another to suit your new settings.
So if you're planning on changing things such as the head, cam, etc, save the chip for last.

I would personaly take his advice cause not every mod is a good one, good short term but detrimental long term!
So, for around twenty bucks it may be bad, eh? Thanks for the warnings guys. But the other info could be worthwhile, I remember he had quite a list of different mods, so I might check it out. And I'll be sure to let everyone know what the verdict is.

seconded. The only $20 mods worthwhile would be a better snorkel or a shift kit. I guess you can't count burnout tyres as a "mod" however
Anything else steer clear of. Especially from ebay, there are too many of those "35% more horsepower from an electric supercharger that fits ALL engines for only $20" scammers out there.
Another option to making your own Altezza style taililights is to go to a truck parts supplier and get some round tail/turn lights (ala Ford Capris) and make a fibreglass cover or even just cut the plastic lenses to fit them, add a bit of body filler and then paint body colour and whoila a different type of tail lens. Oh and I tried All Crash parts in Brisbane for that and was told not enough demand for Falcon Wagons as opposed to ricers and Commodore drivers :-(
