hey everyone, i have just finished panel beating my door on the ef falcon.

i was thinkn of changing it from an Automatic to a Manual.

how much would it cost?
where could i pick up a kit in sydney?
has anyone here done it before, was it worth it, how long did it take?

G'day,
how much will it cost? that depends on who does it, and the cost of your Kit.

You will need, a 5 speed and bellhousing, Flywheel and clutch (suggest new for clutch) throw out lever, and pedal box.
I also suggest a NEW extension housing seal and spigot bearing.
You would also need to ensure you get the crossmember, rear gearbox mount and the sandwich plate.

I recently did a 5.0L EB and the kit was$2000 plus 350 for a new clutch (to me) and allow 50 for seal spigot and oils.

It takes approxiamatley 16-20 hours to do. This IS a dash out job!
Depending on who you get to do it, you can expect to pay from $40 per hour to 85.

so jas24zzk and RAVEN where did you two get your kits?
could you pick it up off a mechanic?
ill be doing this by my self as a project.

and also what other modifications that are fairly cheap could i look at doing to the ef falcon?

Any wreckers...

Parts list.
T5 Gear box (including shifter and knob)
T5 Bellhousing to suit (6 or 8)
Clutch Throw out lever
Clutch kit
Clutch Cable
Clutch cable retainer clip
Flywheel
flywheel bolts (sometimes different length)
Sandwich Plate
Pedal Box (including clutch pedal pre0load spring)
Floor seal plate
Console plate (including shifter boot)
Manual wiring loom

Also new...
spigot bearing
Extension housing seal


Also once you have the box, peer into the speedo drive and compare colours..if they are the same then no need to do anything with it.
