even better pull the park brake on then release it and go to the rear brake caliper and see were the park brake attaches and pull on the cable part and see if it moves or get someone inside ur car and pull the park brake on and off while someone is under the car to see if everything is moving correctly.

ok thank you very much you have helped me alot thanks again!
ok i took the car to beaurepairs and they took the brakes apert and had a look at it all and its turned out to be that my rear calipers are seizing up but they fully havent yet (knock on wood) the guy has quoted me $250.00 and this is getting a new or reconditioned rear calipers from repco im not sure if new or recon though.
but is this a reasonable price to pay to get it done?
i rang repco and inquired how much it would cost for the part alone and its $137.99 for both rear calipers so that means beaurepairs is charging me $112.00 for labor so is this good please let me know asap!
hi there if you get it done ask them if they are going to bleed the full system because if the calipers are siezed it probably time to change brake fluid as well as it absorbs water and degrades over time the job isnt hard just a pain in but but you will get a warranty on new calipers and thier work and brakes being a VERY important part of the stopping process it be best to get a pro to do it but 112 bucks isnt too unreasonable especially if it saves you from reshaping your pride and joy

Hi this is my first reply, now the first thing you have to do is talk to a repairer who deals mainly with brakes and front end repairs.. This is because they have a thorough understanding of a cars suspensions and braking system, remember to get two opinions and listen closely to what they say, now the more they tell you the less they know..The first thing they should do or say is to Mic up or measure the thickness of the rotors and thento check the sliders on the calipers..Now checking these little buggers is important as if they are worn (loose) then the whole caliper needs to be serviced and when new pads are fitted ask the repairer if the hardness is of medium not soft or full metalic so as to last you a long time and not wear out your rotors .. The min or recommened thickness for the rotors is 19 mm but if one rotor is worn to the limit then both must be replaced.. If your brake pedal is spongy then it's time to service your master cylinder.. Cheers Christo
