Base timing on EEC-V 5.0 litre

Does anyone have the procedure to set the base (intial) timing on a 98 EL XR8 (185KW)? The decal under the bonnet says 30 deg BTDC, + or - 2 deg, but does not give the procedure. I would like to set it at 32 deg for performance.

I know I need to buy a service manual, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Any help or comments appreciated, thanks....

Don't buy a service manual. I have the two voloumes already and you are welcome to have a look anytime. I don't have the information in front of me at the moment, but I will be sure to let you know when I do...

Hi Jim 98 EL XR8
There are 2 pages in manual with diagrams which cover your request. If you still need the info, let me know your email address.

Regards
