I woulkd say if you dont loose things like your station presets and clock (if digital)then you did not reset the ecu either..

yes and no ... on the standard CD player u loose station presets, however on aftermarket ones (half decent ones) you dont loose them ... but i always loose the clock

Well .. And this is just how I view it / my opinion.. If there are voltages in the loom to keep the presets and alike, then it could be keeping the ecu memory up as well .
Unless of course the “aftermarket” has a diode arraignment to stop the voltage from flowing out of the head unit.. Could be I suppose.. ???

If someone has a better explaination, as there always is.
or if its in learn burn mode like im experiencing at the moment. It will have its ass reset on tuesday.


I checked the plugs and they had all the signs of the motor running lean
